Standards for Digital Photography
Digital photography has come to stay, whether it is in the graphic world or in daily life. Yet the wide variety in cameras as well as the large number of image and file formats have created the need for a standard, so as to guarantee the quality of digital images forwarded for graphic applications. To cope with this need, Medibel+ decided to develop such a standard. The newly conceived standard comprises two major parts: The first part relating to ‘Shootings’ the second part relating to ‘News Photography’. Moreover, in the Newsphotography field a distinction has been made between low-end and high-end cameras.
